Welcome to the official website of Meru County Rural Water and Sanitation Services Company (MeRuWASCO). We are proud to be a water services provider fully owned by the County Government of Meru, formed in 2023 to ensure compliance with the Water Act, 2016. Our mandate is to provide clean and affordable water and sanitation services to the residents of Meru County through various schemes, including Maua, Timau, Muriri, Ngundune, Nkubu, Kianjai, Mitunguu, Kanyakine, and Mwimbi Schemes.

Increase Sanitation Coverage to 95% by 2026: Enhance sanitation facilities and services to improve public health and hygiene.
Improve Drinking Water Quality to 95% Benchmark: Provide the highest quality drinking water to meet and exceed health standards.
Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Continuously improve our services to effectively meet your needs.
Improve O&M Cost Coverage to 150%: Optimize operations and maintenance costs for financial sustainability and better service delivery.
Maintain 100% Revenue Collection Efficiency: Ensure efficient revenue collection to sustain our operations and invest in future improvements.
Reduce Non-Revenue Water to 20%: Minimize water losses and enhance the efficiency of our water distribution systems.
Hold Quarterly Stakeholder Engagement Forums: Engage stakeholders through at least one forum per quarter to gather feedback and foster collaboration.
Enhance Partnerships for Project Funding: Strengthen partnerships and mobilize resources to fund essential projects.
Achieve 95% Smart Metering Ratio by 2026: Implement smart metering technology for improved accuracy and efficiency in water usage monitoring.
