About us
Meru County Rural Water and Sanitation Services Company (MeRuWASCO) is a water services provider fully owned by the County Government of Meru and registered in accordance with Section 77 of the Water Act, 2016, MeRuWASCO was formed in 2023 to ensure full compliance with the Water Act 2016.
MeRuWASCO has taken over from Imetha Water and Sanitation Company (IMETHAWASCO) with the mandate to provide clean and affordable water and sanitation services to the residents of Meru County in the following schemes: Maua, Timau, Muriri, Ngundune, Nkubu, Kianjai, Mitunguu, Kanyakine, and Mwimbi Schemes
